He is the only player in NHL history to win the Conn Smythe Trophy (Most Valuable Player in the NHL Playoffs) 3 times and the only one to do it in 3 different decades (1980s, 1990s, 2000s). He was inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame in 2006.
